After five days of driving we finally made it to Yosemite - and it was beautiful! Despite the fact that several of the campgrounds in the high country were still closed due to the large amount of snow Yosemite received this winter, we were blessed to find a great site a White Wolf Campground. There was a creek to explore and rocks to climb so the kids were all very happy!
Colter was trying hard to do everything that Wyatt did, which included climbing some rather large rocks. He could climb them just fine, the problem was getting down. He would climb to the top and then shout "Jump!". That was OK as long as someone was right there to catch him, but I could envision the moment someone wasn't there and he made the decision to just jump anyway! In the hope of avoiding disaster, we made a quick rule that Colter could only climb "Colter-sized rocks" so that if he did decide to jump by himself he wouldn't fall too far! : )
